Exercise #10

Blog Exercise 10A: Write a reflection of 50-100 words (#10A) about modern slavery today. What do you think?? Figure out how many slaves work for you.. And post on your blog..
Nowadays our conservative estimate is that there are around 21-30 million people in slavery. Which means that today there are more people in slavery than at any time in the human history. Slavery has existed for a long time ago, but the changes in the world’s economy and societies over the past 50 years have enabled a resurgence of slavery. I think slavery is really bad and dangerous because it denies the human right. It can also create an unstable society full of hatred.

 no slaves work for me!

Blog Exercise 10B: Add 50-100 words (#10B) to your reflection about
What else has the UAE done to try to ensure human rights for its workers and to stop human trafficing? Why is this important for the (your) government to take this stand??

They give every 2-year time to go back to their families. Human rights and women rights apply to the workers in UAE.
The government of the United Arab Emirates guarantees human rights by giving freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom of communication, freedom of religion and quality before law. Sheikh Zayed gave women great rights such as the right to drive a car and the right to education. So, women can play significant role in the society like men. Human rights are important because people feel free when they gain them. Also, it is important to my government to stop tyranny.
